1. Service description

EduKite is a web application designed for primary school teachers. The service enables the generation of personalized learning materials — expressive audio, adapted summaries and illustrated concept maps — from content uploaded by the user (images with text, PDF and DOCX documents).

The service is provided by Soltea, based in Italy.

2. Permitted use

The service is intended exclusively for personal and educational use. The user agrees to use EduKite in accordance with the following conditions:. L'utente si impegna a utilizzare EduKite nel rispetto delle seguenti condizioni:

  • The user declares that they have the right to use the content uploaded to the platform, i.e., that they are the legitimate owner or have the necessary authorizations.
  • Content generated by EduKite (summaries, audio, concept maps) constitutes transformative works intended for educational use and does not replace the original work in any way.
  • It is expressly prohibited to use the service to reconstruct, fully reproduce, distribute or make available to third parties works protected by copyright.
  • It is prohibited to use the service for commercial purposes other than education, or to generate illegal, offensive content or content that violates the rights of third parties.

3. Transformative nature of generated content

EduKite does not provide copies of the original content uploaded by the user. The service exclusively generates: caricati dall'utente. Il servizio genera esclusivamente:

Such works constitute transformative works under copyright law and are intended exclusively to support the teacher's educational activity.

4. Uploaded content

Content uploaded by the user (images, documents) is processed to provide the service and is not permanently stored. Specifically:. In particolare:

  • Page images are processed via OCR (optical character recognition) to extract text and can subsequently be deleted.
  • PDF and DOCX documents are processed for text extraction and retained only for the duration of the work session.
  • The user can delete their lessons and all associated materials at any time.
  • Content is not transferred to third parties, nor used for purposes other than service delivery.

5. Credit system

Using EduKite involves a prepaid credit system:

  • A free initial credit is assigned upon registration.
  • Each operation (OCR analysis, text generation, audio, images, maps) has a cost that is charged against available credit.
  • Credit can be recharged via credit card payment (Stripe).
  • Credit is non-refundable, except as provided by applicable withdrawal rights legislation.
  • Costs of individual operations depend on the underlying AI services and may vary.

6. Intellectual property

  • The EduKite application, its code, design and website content are the property of Soltea.
  • Content generated by the service (summaries, audio, maps) is made available to the user for personal and educational use.
  • The user retains full ownership of their uploaded content.
  • AI-generated clipart images are subject to the terms of use of the image generation service (OpenAI).

7. Content sharing

EduKite allows sharing lessons via public link. The user who shares a lesson:

  • Declares that the shared content does not violate the rights of third parties.
  • Accepts that the link is accessible to anyone who has it, without the need for authentication.
  • Can revoke sharing at any time by deleting the lesson.

8. Limitation of liability

  • EduKite uses artificial intelligence services for content generation. Results may contain inaccuracies or errors. The teacher is responsible for verifying the adequacy of materials before use in class.
  • The service is provided "as is". Soltea does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service.
  • Soltea is not responsible for improper use of the service by the user, particularly for copyright violations.

9. Changes to terms

Soltea reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be communicated through the application. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the changes.

10. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by Italian law. For any dispute, the Court of Bergamo has jurisdiction.
